Puppies & plans
 
 

 

Whelping box is in my home office and puppies are growing in the house with other dogs and family. We do not have kennels or crates. All dogs are our pets and family members. Puppies are health checked by a vet and microchipped.

My aim and wish in every litter is to breed either a dog or a bitch for own breeding purposes for the future.

Double mating

2012 started with an interesting poject, G. Lady of The Site Hut was mated to two males.

Puppies 3 + 3 were born on the 20th of April: two b&t and one red boy, three girls of all colours; b&t, red & grizzle & tan.

When puppies are born, the pups, sires and mother will be taken to DNA parentage evaluation. My idea is to spread out gene pole more than just increase the number of population. Besides, it will be very interesting to guess the first weeks what are the combinations - or are there any different ones!
